I am 37.5 weeks. I tilt the seat way back (like a gangster) so there is no pressure on my stomach, turn on my seat heater (which feels like a heating pad over my entire back) and have the a/c on high and low so the cold air blows on my face and big swollen feet. It actually feels nice. This last week I started wearing wrist wraps while I drive because my wrists hurt a lot. Today is my last day at work though. At this point I don't want to drive far distances by myself in case I start having contractions and have no way to get back home.
Oh my goodness that's a lot of stuff that you're doing at 36 weeks, lol! I'll just stick to trying to drive. Thanks for all of the advice:)
36 weeks. Still driving. Still mowing on our Dixon zero turn mower. Still gardening. I'll go till baby is coming. Yesterday I speed walked a mile and a half and then mowed for two hours after picking up sticks all over the yard from a thunderstorm the night before. Then I went grocery shopping. Needless to say I could barely walk by about 3pm. That was too much in one day. Today I rested. I hate resting though. So much to do.....
I am still driving at 36 weeks. Need to start going to extra doctor appointments at least two pwr week. Not thrilled but will keep going as much as I can. Yes, just as the other girl said, seatbelt under the belly then the other side goes between the breasts. I am five feet with shoes on..... lol. I will only drive my Corolla and getting in and out is crazy. Good luck to us all! The cuties are coming soon!!!! :)
lol yesss! turning the wheel was SOOO hard.. my elbows used to hit my belly.. couldn't see.. etc.. gosh, I miss it! haha
Haha I know what you mean octobermommy...I can barely turn to see what's behind me too so sometimes it's almost like blind guesses lol
I was driving myself to & from work all the way up to 39 weeks. my belly was RIDICULOUS, but I did it. my doctor say it was fine as long as my seatbelt was under my belly & the chest strap was AROUND my belly.. NOT across.
it was a little difficult to turn in my car.. my belly was absolutely in the way being 5 feet tall & ALL BELLY.. but I managed. other than work, my fiancé drove everywhere else.
luckily I delivered at 39w3d & wasn't allowed to drive for a while after that. I needed a break anyway haha! congrats & good luck! (((:
I'm still driving and I'm 38 weeks but due to excruciating pain shooting through my split pelvis when I try to get in my van, I ended up having to buy a temporary small car to drive till number 4 arrives. I have to drive to drop off and pick up my kids from school and do household errands, my husband drives us arround on the weekends but because he works late hours as a carpet layer he can't help out in the week. I'm sure you should be fine just make sure you have a phone with you in case of emergency.
