Baby Boy is Here! (Labor Story)

Monday night my boyfriend and I decided to go to the hospital because I had been leaking fluid for a few weeks and that morning it was more than usual and I was 3cm. We got there around 9pm and they ran some tests. Sure enough, my water was broken. They admitted me at midnight. I wasn't contacting at all so they started me on pitocin at 1am. I couldn't get any sleep and the pain was getting to be to much so at about 8am I got an epidural, got checked abs was 4cm. I was able to sleep on and off once I got it and it lasted up until about 1:30pm. I started feeling contractions on my left side, they were pretty bad but I tried to get through it. I couldn't, lol, they topped off my epidural at 2:30pm and checked me, I was still 4cm. I had a little sack of water that had pooled up and they broke it. I slept for about 30 minutes while my boyfriend went to eat. Once he came back, the epidural had wore off on my left side again, they checked me and I was 9.5cm. They broke another sack of water and almost instantly, I felt my little man start moving down. 5 minutes later I tell my nurse I can feel him right there about to come out on his own. She thought I was kidding, checked, and baby was about to make his appearance. They hurried and got nurses, called my doctor(his office is across the parking lot) and had me do a practice push. Once my doctor got there, I wasn't pushing for even 5 minutes and my baby boy was born! I tore a little bit but couldn't feel it, I had no idea until I saw the needle and thread after they stitched me up.
Xander Thomas Roar was born at 3:35pm on July 21, 2015. 7lb 12.7oz and 19 inches of pure perfection. It's been a few days and all I can say is, every pain and discomfort during the pregnancy abs every contraction during labor is well worth it when you have your baby in your arms for the first time. Being able to see your baby sleeping in your arms could bring tears to your eyes. I know it does with me. Xander, his daddy, and I, although we're sleep deprived, couldn't be happier! Good luck to all of you soon to be and already mommies!
