Diabetes

My doctor confirmed that I have gestational diabetes. I am 29 weeks and very upset. I didn't have to go through this with my first pregnancy. Not sure what to expect. I have additional testing and office visits.  Does anyone have any experience that they can share in what to expect for the remainder if the pregnancy?

Also, I go in to the hospital once a month for an ultrasound to check the baby. First visit was great, my next one is May 11

I have it too. Been testing my glucose levels 4x a day for 3 weeks now. No medication at this point. So far, I've been able to control it with diet and walking after meals. I think the hardest part is timing your food. Eating 6x a day is a change but I've adjusted to it fairly quickly. Should be just a minor hiccup. Don't stress!
