I just shared my story on another post that for my first baby I was one centimeter at  37 weeks  and 6 days and my midwife said I wouldn't have the baby for at least another week because she was going out of town. I had my baby the next day as a first time mom you can dialate fast or slow so how far you are dilated in advance isn't a predictor of how fast or when you will deliver.

Update at 37+2:

Between 1-2 centimeters dilated so I've progressed a little there, and now 70% thinned out. At 36+2 I was at a 1 and 50%.

My doctor checked when I was 35 weeks and I wasn't dilated. Right now I'm 37 weeks and I have a doctors appointment tomorrow, so I don't know if she will check again

I'm 36+2 and I'm 2cm dilated and 50% effaced. Have made 2 trips to the hospital already thinking I was in labor.

36 weeks and dr said I'm a fingertip which I have no idea how big that is. I think it's nothing. Was hoping for at least 2cm.

As of Monday I was 1cm dilated and 50% effaced! I'm hoping when I go in for my appointment on Monday (37 weeks) I'll be dilated and effaced more.. But, that's just wishful thinking! Lmao.

I'm 36.4 weeks and not dilated at all yet. But cervix is soft so I guess that's a plus.
