natural birth is much better.. i had it with my first and will be having it with my second.. in my country its not an option, u only get epidural to do c-section..
i atempted natural with my first born made it 24hrs (i was induced ) the pitocin made it bad but i was managing then i asked for pain relief and got fentenol big mistake it ruined my concentration made me out of it but i felt everything it did nothin to help! so when i could speak.bout 30 mins after the fentenol i asked for the epidural and by then the needle in the back was nothing compared to the contractions and it helped so much my body finaly was willing to dialate past 3cm . this time i will be trying natural again but il take the epidural if i need it but my advice SAY NO TO THE FENTENOL!!!
I had epi with first, natural with second And I plan on doing it natural again... Like she said its a mind thing,,, get educated and be flexible... Recovery is way better going natural... Good luck and healthy happy delivery
Um yes... contractions hurt. A lot. It's about a mind set. If you go in thinking you can do it, you can. If you go in thinking if it hurts I'll get an epidural .. you will get an epidural. One thing I can promise you is contractions hurt everyone.
I had 2 with epidurals and 1 natural. The epidurals make contractions tolerable. However, recovery with natural is much faster. I would say have a plan but be flexible. A lot will depend on your pain tolerance level. Contractions are worse than actual labor for me.
Go in labor and then there will be no debate....at least for me
I had my first natural. It's tough... but the feeling afterwards is amazing. I felt like the strongest person in the world, felt like I could conquer anything. After 18 hours of labor I wasn't tired. I was seriously on a natural high. Nothing against anyone who chooses an epidural but I don't regret having a natural child birth for a second. If you do take a natural child birth class and look into a double for support.
I am still debating too. I dint want to feel anything but I dint want to feel the needle either!
This is my 3rd pregnancy and I plan to have an epidural as I did with my other 2. The 1st time I had one it was great, I didn't feel a thing. The 2nd time it wore off, and even though they tried 3 times to boost it it didn't take and I felt everything.
