My hubby didnt want me to either. But I did. So I got it done for reasons a) my ins pays for it b) I get to see Baby & hear heartbeat, c) get pix of bby to share. Needles don't bother me. And I dont care if others judge me. My choice. I'm also not worried about results. I love my baby unconditionally. Talk with ur hubby. You don't have much time left for this test. Good luck in whatever u decide.
Thanks hopefully i can convince him. Maybe its his pride i have no idea but he hasnt budged. All his family is against it. They say how God sends the baby it is yours to love. I agree also but its just testing.
I'm a ftm but what do they all test for dor genetic testing?
In my case its my hubby who wanted to get it done but i dint., but v have still nt decided on it also
Perhaps he just doesnt want to worry if something is wrong. I know I considered the testing but regardless I will keep my baby. I have seen its heart beating and strong legs kicking. I person ally thought..why worry about whatever may possibly be a hardship for my baby if I know I'm going to keep it? That stress that I know I would get would only transfer to my baby. Just my take on the situation...
I got the genetic testing done at 10 weeks and would highly recommend it. Not only do they screen for abnormalities so that you can be prepared but you also get the option to find out the gender super early. At first I felt it was unnecessary but then I decided if there was a problem why not be aware and able to mentally process everything and prepare for the best care for your baby
I got genetic testing done a week ago. It was just blood work and the results came back normal, along with the sex of the baby, which is a male. Im 14 weeks now. Insurance paid for it. Its your body, do what you want. With my other pregnancies, they didnt have the genetic testing, so I didnt get it done. Im happy I did this time.
