evening primrose success stories???

My hubby is buying me some evening primrose oil today, but I wanted to know if anyone has used it and it actually worked. If so how long did you use it for? What is the best method? I am 39+2 weeks and want to meet my baby girl already!! Lol

"It works!!! I went into labor the next day. Once i took the pills I say about 3 hrs later I started having contractions. Its a natural pill and my gyn recommended me to take the pill since I was so ready to have her lol. I was 38 weeks when I took the pill. The pill also helps soften your cervix. I did it vaginally and orally. I inserted 2 pills in vagina and took 2 pills orally. No harm to baby and had a great delivery." This is something I found. I also saw another where she said she took 1 orally and did 4 vaginally. I'm assuming it's okay.

I'm honestly not sure but I have read up on it and it said that it take 2 weeks to get into your system if you take it orally. Vaginally, I don't know if it's right away or if it's two weeks as well but I would think it's right away since it's right by your cervix ha

I will try that :) thanks. Hopefully it does something! Also, if you take 3 orally, can you still do one vaginally? Sorry, I know you're not a doctor, but thought you may know.

I've only been putting one in at a time. But once I knew the first one dissolved, I put another. Then I waited to put another in until I went to bed last night. I may start putting 2 in at night and none during the day but I don't know. You can take 3 orally a day but I don't know about vaginally.

I don't know, I've heard of women getting a pain when their water broke. Not all though.

Awesome! I am nervous to try it, but I'm so ready to meet my baby! That pain doesn't sound like your water breaking. I know everyone is different, but it never hurt when my water broke with my first 2 babies. I just felt a pop and then felt like I was peeing my pants! Lol.

I'm 39w3d and I'm definitely ready to meet my little guy.
The whole thing will dissolve on its own. I started it yesterday. It is going to leak out, so wear a panty liner or 2.
I was in the bath last night and had a weird pain that I thought could have been my water but I wasn't leaking anything after I got out and dried off. So we'll just have to wait and see. It's not something that is going to put you in labor, it just helps soften/ripen the cervix, it also helps prevent tearing.

How far along were you? Do you just put the whole thing in or do you squeeze the oil out of it?
