Labor Story Induction & Epidural & GD

First I am so happy my daughter Brynn Annelle was born on 7/6 at 39 wks + 2 weighing 7lbs 14oz and 20 1/4 inches long.

I went in to the hospital to be induced on Sunday 7/5 due to GD. Checked in at 6 am. Since I was already 4 cm dilated, they started the pitocin right away. The first day I didn't dilated at all and stayed at 4cm. Because they upped the pitocin so strong I caved in from doing it all natural to getting an epidural. Once the epidural was in, I dilated to 6 cm Monday morning. Before I knew it I felt the sensation to go poop and with only 10 minutes of pushing she was here.

For the GD moms, so far the only thing different that is done during post partum is the nurse checks her blood every time before she eats to make sure her sugar level doesn't drop. This is done for the first 12 hrs at my delivering hospital.

But I'm happy. And I wish you all safe and successful deliveries!
