I'm a vegetarian also 10 years. I actually craved meat and I had it twice but it made me sick both times so I just get protein from beans
My first pregnancy I was young and had been a full on vegetarian for 5 years. My mom tells me even as a child I was never big on eating meat so cutting it out of my diet came natural. Being pregnant was rough. A lot of the meat substitutes I enjoyed tasted terrible and made me sick. When I asked the doctor about it he said I needed a balanced diet of protein and it was especially important because I'm anemic.I started incorporating more lentils, soy, even eggs and fish to satisfy my mom. But one magical day, I started craving beef. I wanted a hamburger and I wanted it immediately. I was skeptical of the craving since I don't like beef. I thought it would be another meal that didn't sit long, but apparently it was what my body needed.
