That's funny you asked this question. I was wondering the same thing. My 2 oldest kids were born in fall and winter. I have no idea what to dress my little lady in. I was thinking of a cute onsie and socks, and wrap her in a thin receiving blanket.
My baby will be here in July and I plan on bringing him home in a thin long sleeve cotton shirt and pants :)
I'm from N.Z so not familiar with the type of heat where you ladies live. Our summers are quite warm here but a slight breeze can make a newborn sick.....I went home 4 hours after delivering so my summer girl was brand brand new.
A onesie and thin hat would be ok not overboard with socks n stuff. .I've had a summer baby too and that's what I took her home in and had a muslin wrap just to cover her over if she felt cold. In our bellies they are pretty much swimming in a warm bath of at least 30degree hence the need to keep them warm...I'm not meaning anything fleecy just a cotton onesie so they don't get a chill. If you're in doubt ask your maternity carer they would be able to give you sound advice as they deal with this all the time and no question is dumb especially from a ftm who has never experienced these things.
Glad this, was asked. Nothing stupid about this question, I still haven't packed his outfit bc I'm not familiar on how to bring a summer baby home...I'm a ftm with a boy and I was thinking cute footed onesie with hat and a light blanket for the 15 mon ride home.
Im putting my daughter on a cute little short sleeve roomper, and some cute socks. I live in Florida its too hot i'm bring a fleece blanket just in case though.
I live in arizona and my car has black leather seats. My boy will be coming home in a cute short sleeve onesie and socks and we will have a light blanket if he needs it but it will for sure be warmer than 98* out when he is born haha
Omg I've been wondering exactly the same thing. . Lol I'm happy they answered you
Something warm...as hot as it may be for you the baby has just come from an extremely warm place so dress them warm and maybe only a thin throw over that can be removed if need be
That's fine. I'd put a cute pair of shorts added :) I'm having a girl and doing a oneies and tutu lol my boy was winter time..
