I had planned on working until 40 weeks but the industrial plant I work for went on a one week shutdown when I was 36 weeks. I ended up going into labor the week we were shut down at exactly 37 weeks so I guess technically I worked up until I gave birth. I wasn't due until July 22, 2015 but ended up having my baby boy July 3, 2015. I can honestly say working so long is probably what caused me to deliver early because I was working 6 days a week in 100+ degree temperatures, but I can say I had a very fast and easy delivery. I was in labor for probably 11-12 hours total, I spent almost all of that time at home. I went to the hospital at around 6:30 am where I was checked and my water broke as soon as the nurse checked me and I delivered my son at 8:42 am. My labor was so quick and progressed so fast that I did not get the luxury of pain medicine and delivered completely natural, but I think staying so active and continuing to work helped everything move forward very smoothly.

I kept working until the day I had the baby with my first and second. In fact, with my first, I had set up meeting arrangements with a new coworker that I was training and had to call her back 15 minutes later to tell her never mind she was on her own; my water had just broke. With my second I happened to have him on the weekend, thankfully it wasn't my weekend to work, but I had worked the Friday before.

My last day was Friday too and I'm being induced on Wednesday. I needed those four days to get ready. Almost there only one day left and everything is almost done.

Yes, 39+3 weeks and still working. My last day is the day before my due date, this Thursday. It's tiring but helps take my mind off the anticipation and anxiety of what's to come :)

I'm also 38 weeks, I work 40+ hours a weeks and plan on working until I can't handle it anymore. It's so crazy how so many people assume just because your pregnant you can't work. Like there completely shocked that I'm still there... But i want as much time with baby as I can get :)
