antibiotics cause missed period?

My husband and I are on our third month of TTC. This month I got a really bad cold around the time I usually get my period and started taking antibiotics. I am now currently 5 days late and took a pregnancy test two days ago and it was negative. Does anyone know if antibiotics cause mp and how much longer should I wait to take a test?

If your 5 days late and you are pregnant a test would be positive if done correctly. Take another one first thing in the morning tomorrow. I'm not sure if antibiotics would affect your period, but some medications can change your cycle.
