What is cerclauge? Ive never heard of it before
I have one...it's outpatients surgery. The surgery itself takes like 30 minutes but you will be there for hours. Basically until your able to walk again
I've had 2 stitches, both we're taken out at my local hospital where all my anti natal appointments are. It doesn't take long at all, it wasn't painful either and they we're taken out without any pain relief. I was then monitored for about an hour or so to see if I went into labour straight away and was then sent home (I live only a few minutes from my hospital) If your unsure of what will happen, ask at your next appointment as each hospital may be different in how long they keep you for once it's removed
Its depends on whether its a shirodkar or mcdonald cerclage. A shirodkar cerclage may require outpatient surgery and mcdonald would likely just be at your perinatalogists or obgyns office.
