laser hair removal

Hi everyone! I'm 21 weeks today, and I'm wondering if i can continue doing  laser hair removal during my pregnancy.  The technician doing it for me is certified, and she claims it's perfectly safe. She herself had it done while pregnant 9 years ago. Can anyone help me with some advice?

common sense would lead me to assume it is not dangerous especially if on other areas of the body, because there is no clinical data to prove this (as it would be unethical to carry out such a trial) there isn't proof to say it is safe... or proof to say it isn't.  Companies want to avoid being sued and nowadays you can sue people for anything so they will not carry it out.  I don't think it is a danger, people do far more harmful things to their bodies during pregnancy

I stopped doing laser when i found out i was pregnant, ill do it after i have the baby but my ob told me it was safe

Hi! I actually asked my ob today about laser, and he told me its not a problem at all! "Go for it!" were his exact words. "its perfectly safe". So ill do some more research now.
Oh-and my ob is an extremely careful doc...:)

Awesome!  I know it ***** having to wait, but it has been 6 months since I have had treatments and nothing has grown back!  Good luck!

Any reputable company would NOT continue treatment while pregnant. I also get treatments and the second I told them I was pregnant they immediately rescheduled until after I have my baby. The reasoning is because there are no studies done to show the effects laser hair removal has on the baby. Since there are no studies, we don't know if it is okay or not so most companies (ones that care about your well being) would refuse treatments.
