late miscarriage...any signs?

I'm almost half way and so far everything is completely fine. I feel good...mostly. typical stuff. I've never had any spotting or bleeding and only slight cramps which I think are those round ligaments I keep hearing about. Anyway I find that I still can't stop worrying something will happen.  It's not all consuming and causing severe anxiety but was wondering if there are signs or complications that result in late miscarriages.  I'm 35 ftm so no spring chicken.  Guess I just want reassurance to put my mind at ease. I'm sorry for anyone who's suffered this loss.

Well once your past 20 weeks, a loss is no longer called a miscarriage. A loss is called a stillbirth. If you are losing the baby sometimes the symptoms are labor symptoms. However, sometimes the baby's heart could just stop beating with no obvious symptoms at all. Dopplers can help but they can also cause unnecessary worry when you can't find the heartbeat because baby is resting in a weird position. Learn your baby's movement patterns as you start being able to feel your baby. Always trust your instincts and get medical help if you feel you need it. But most importantly try to enjoy your pregnancy every day and not worry. I know personally that's hard as I loss my daughter at 21 weeks. But enjoy each day. Wishing you all the best
