loose bowels

I know that loser bowels can be a sign of labor. I was wondering for those who've already had their babies or remember from past pregnancies, how long after you started experiencing it did labor start? This is my third baby, but I don't recall ever having it with my second and with my first I didn't start getting it until I took castor oil.

I haven't had my baby yet, but I've been having loose stools for the past month. I thought that I would have the baby early, but I'm 40+3 :-(

I had lose bowels last week and got excited because I thought it was a sign. I'm 39 weeks and nothing... No cramping, no nothing I'm 90% positive I'll go over due and need to be induced... Only because I really don't want to be. I'm so over being pregnant

Same here. I was just wondering because up until now, I've been almost constipated, then all the sudden I wake up and have to go every time I pee! Ugh! I'm done being pregnant too! I was due yesterday and getting frustrated. That was my only sign that labor may be near!

Yeah I would not see it as any type of indicator of early labor. I know on the last few weeks leading up to my due date I took everything as a sign of labor. I had 2 counts of false labor and would get all excited for nothing to progess. Well I had my son last week and now I just wished I had enjoyed the last few weeks lol. I am on his schedule and lacking sleep so just be patient trust me you will know when you are in actual labor becuase it hurts like hell.

I've read from books and online that loose bowels is a sign. The body is beginning to clear itself out for the big day. Whether it's true or not, I have no idea! But I hope it is!
