I was wondering if your allowed your partner in the room as your getting an epidural even if it was to help hold/hug me up while being injected the EPI because im afraid of falling off the bed or being too squirmish knowing that im getting a huge needle into my spine. Im already a very very anxious and squirmish person who suffers anxiety. And i also fear i will literally pass out onto the floor while getting epidural cause i know your supposed to be hunched over and all that. Does anybody know if its possible i can just have my hubs with me or even a nurse's assistance in front of me holding my weight ?

In my delivery they let my husband to stay in the room because I was scared and nervous both of my husband and midwife were in front of me  ..  getting the EPI wasn't  painfull at all in me case.

My hospital is letting my boyfriend stay in to hold me and keep me from moving.

They made my boyfriend leave the room. The nurse stood in front of me to help hold me still and hug me.  It was comforting but still would have rather had my bf

It may depend on the hospital. When i got got my epidural they made my husband leave. But i was hurting so bad that the needle barely bothered me.

I'm sure that would be ok. They've never made my husband leave the room when I got an epidural.
