overweight/obese and pregnant

I thought this was an important topic to discuss as I really am interested to know how other women who are not of an healthy weight are coping. ALL the possible complications, and just needed to talk about the experience.

I just think one should never give up as much as it hurts so so so bad to experience those kind of things I imagine if we had of we would never have got our 3 beautiful girls and after that we lost another 2 so 10 in total and I was giving up after that.. being content with what we had already...but then our son blessed us and has completed our family after being told we would never have boys. Im super excited to meet him and cant wait for july to come around...if all goes well for the rest of our pregnancy. Good luck with yours and rest as much as you can while waiting for your little bundle to come.

I am overweight and other then severe morning sickness my pregnancy has been pretty uneventful. I'm 19.5 weeks along now. They tested me for gestational diabetes a few weeks ago but everything came back normal. I am in light duty at work for my entire pregnancy but that is only because I am considered high risk because of personal and family history.

I also am over weight with pcos, I was told after 3 years of trying yo give up, Idid give up and I am now 16 weeks with my miracle baby. I am so excited. I'd say ya there are a lot more risks but find a Dr who doesn't harp on you, I love my on. Has never made a comment and asked me what I thought I should gain in this pregnancy. I am extremely happy where I'm at. I figure if I can get through this and have a healthy happy baby then that's all that matters. I love that u brought up this subject, its defiantly not talked about as much as it should be. I am not ashamed of what I look like. Were are all beautiful :)

I am overweight and pregnant with my 3rd baby. I've been keeping a close eye on how much weight I gain because I don't want to get gestational diabetes. Diabetes is very strong in my family so I try to take it easy. So far, I'm 16 weeks 3 days and I've only gained 3 pounds.I also have Multiple Sclerosis so I'm totally monitoring my weight. I'm trying not to gain more than 20 pounds. I know i can do it. I did it with my 2 oldest kids. That extra weight is definitely something we have to keep an eye on.

I had spotting twice, but i also have pcos and hypothyroidism. I was told i wouldn't get pregnant, but after a year and a half i lost 47lbs and started gaining back a few and it happened. Now am worried bc of all the negatives with being overweight and pregnant
