pregnant with pcos

I am 10 weeks 3 days, this baby will be my first. I am scared that something may happen along the way, i was diagnosed with pcos before getting pregnant and was on metformin and birth control. My dr suggested i stayed on the metformin combined with prenatals. Has any one had problems due to pcos?

I was diagnosed at 18 and told the same thing.  My husband and I tried for a year without getting pregnant before I went to the drs.  She said I needed to lose weight before I could get pregnant. My periods were irregular (every 2 months). So when I didn't get my period, I thought it was normal,  WRONG! I was actually pregnant while asking my dr for help getting pregnant!  If your dr said it was fine,  stay on it. I haven't been on metfotmin in years, it made me really sick.

Hi I am pregnant on Pcos. My gyni put me on Cyclogest for the first 10 weeks. This is a progesterone pill which lines the uterus with extra prog. Just a precaution

I am 10 weeks and this is my first pregnancy also.  I was diagnosed with pcos about five years ago although I have never been on medication for it.  I was told that I would not be able to conceive naturally without help.  Needless to say it was a big shock to find out that I was pregnant.  I have yet to have an ultrasound, but it is this Thursday.  I have read so much about increased chances of miscarriages and I'm freaking myself out. Are your doctors taking extra precautions because of the pcos? Mine seem to think it's not an issue... And it worries me.

I also have pcos and had difficulties getting pregnant. Rest assured that once pregnant there is nothing to worry about except the possibility of getting gestational diabetes but this can also occur for women who dont have pcos. Dont stress, you have achieved the difficult part about having pcos and thats getting pregnant!
