progesterone injections

I've been getting progesterone injections since I was 17 weeks. This is my fourth pregnancy and I didn't have to get them with my first two three pregnancies. So I'm new to this. I'm 29 weeks as of today and I started having contractions last week. They stopped for like three days and now they have started again. Should I be worried about the injections not doing what it's supposed to do? I wonder if I'm going to deliver earlier. Has any of you moms gone through this?

I've been getting my shots since 17 weeks. They started after I got my cerclag.  I'm 27 weeks now I haven't had any problems. I feel the shots are working.  I have an incompetent cervix so it can open at any time with no warning. I had to lose 2 babies before they realized what was wrong. God bless ladies praying everything works out for all of us

I'm also getting progesterone shots (first time geting shot, 3rd pregnancy). I have little contractions here and there probably braxton hicks. It was explained to me that even with the shots you could still go into labor early. Most of the time the shots do help prevent it but there is always a chance it won't. Have you spoken to your OB about it?
