I have a uti and i am more than positive that i have one and it isnt my first time. My medicare does not kick in for another two weeks and i researched that a uti can spread to your kidneys and become life threatening.. does anybody know if free clinics will treat me and give me free antibiotics? I seriously dont want to wait another two weeks seeing as i have had this problem for more than 2-3 weeks as it is now. I know water or cranberry juice wont cure a uti completely without antiobiotics cause of the Ph levels in our bodies.. so anyone know about free clinics and free antibiotics? Please.. answers ?? I cant wait any longerrrr !

Im 30 weeks.. thanks ladies i really truly appreciate all the comments.. i feel more relieved now.. i feel it improving now that i cut down on caffeine and drink plenty of water.. i had to urinate lesser times than yesterday so hopefully the water has stopped the uti from actually developing foreal if i dont actually have one that is..

Working urself up searching the internet about UTI.  Sure there can be side effects of untreated uti but those are worse case senerios.  Dont forgot the cranberry juice.

How many weeks are you? Im currently 28 weeks, have been noticing sometimes I only pee a little sometimes its a good amount, but when I first start to pee comes out very slow and gets faster. Ive had many uti's in the past, usually can tell when one is starting and drink plenty of water/cranberry juice and take cranberry pills that usually clears it up within a few days. If you've had it a couple weeks you'll prob need antibiotics. They do have uti tests in the pharmacy you can take, but my dr usually still has me do their test in the office before prescribing. Good luck!

Also Medicaid should kick in right away if ur pregnant.  they give u temporary insurance until all the paper work is processed.   Go to your local office and ask for temporary insurance card until u get ur insurance.

You can be working urself up.  Uti's can be common and frequent during pregnancy.  Drink lots of water and cranberry juice to flush ur system.  Most free clinics are only free to people on Medicaid. U would be better off spending the $6 for over the counter relief until ur insurance kicks in.

Ok thanks hun.. sounds like a reasonable price i guess. I wish i could just go to the ER and tell them my medicare is in the middle of processing

When I had a uti before, I think the antibiotics were only 20 bucks. It was at least under 50.

You can try the clinic. The antibiotics shouldn't be that much is you do have to pay.

Yeah but i heard only the simple uti's will clear up on its own.. what if i have a more severe case ? They do tests by culture of urine im sure of .. at the docs.. its not my first time having one..I've been prescribed antibiotics  about 4-5 times with having it..and the infection can either be of the bladder or the kidneys.. but either way i want to get checked out to avoid further complications and thats why my question is if you ladies know of free clinics giving free antibiotics
