worried

Im 15 weeks ftm and work has just completely ruined everything.  They had me by myself from 7-11 and told them that I couldnt and had lifting restrictions and restrictions to certain chemicals that we use (dr note). And was told that id have to start my unpaid leave because I cant pick up the 50 pound requirement.  Ive always had issues with jobs and now im just completely overwhelmed I cant sleep and I suffer from severe anxiety and I try to relax but it was on my mind before bed and as soon as I woke up. Im supposed to go in and talk to a manager today but im scared my emotions will get the best of me. ): all I want to do is cry.

I live in Illinois.  We dont have the best laws for pregnancy but what I found last night says that what their trying to force me to do is completely wrong.

Id def get some legal advice it cant be right that they are forcing you to take your leave already. i know my company will change things to suit me and they have done since they did my personal risk assesment. Im sure there must be something else that you can do at work without lifting and using harmful chemicals..try not to worry too much you dont want to stress baby out or make yourself poorly from worrying. If i were you id speak to your manager and tell them that your happy to do almost anything as long it isnt putting you and baby at risk...that way your not being too picky...and fingers crossed they dont give you a gross job like cleaning the toilets! And dont worry about being emotional...were allowed :-) Let us know how you get on x

I'm so sorry your job is being like that. I know it's hard but try to be calm. When you're stressed and anxious so is the baby. Jobs will come and go but your baby will be in your life forever! There may be legal ramifications for them treating you this way? I don't know the laws are different everywhere. Things will get better. I know they will! Sometimes you just have to wait a little.
