I guess I am really lucky because I weighed myself 11 days post delivery (vaginal) and I only have 3 more lbs to lose to get to my prepregnancy weight.  I gained 33 with pregnancy.  My daughter was 8lbs 8oz.  I was lucky this way with my son too.  I know that my body may be back to regular weight, but there is still a lot of shifting to do.  And only my fat clothes fit at the moment.  But, I see  a change every day.

I too tried walking at target 5 days post delivery and it was way too much.  My abdominal muscles started to hurt really bad and I was sore in places I hadn't been sore before, for several days.  I went from feeling great to feeling awful.  Guess it shows u how much a body heals in a matter of a few more days.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one impatient for some exercise. It's been 4 weeks for me since my little one arrived (our 3rd), via c-section. I've lost 20 pounds so far but unfortunately I still look several months pregnant. I think it might be because baby was low and big, I was stretched way out front and it must be taking a while for everything to get back to the right places. Doctor had said my stomach muscles were really stretched way out. I'm also still bleeding, not much, but I'd like to make sure everything is healed before I start exercising.

We have a family reunion in 4 weeks, at a hotel with a pool. I hope I can lose a few more pounds before wearing a swim suit in public. Yikes!

hey precious!!!  dude, its already been 5 weeks???  how are you and the baby doing?

yea, i had a tubal and a c-section so i know i can't do anything until the 6 week mark...  i'm just really anxious to get on it!  i know i won't be getting into a bathing suit this summer or anything (unless i'm in my own back yard!) i just want to be skinny again!  if i've lost 12lbs so far...  then my goal is set at getting down to at least 122lbs...  so i need to loose like 16 more pounds!  when dh met me i weighed 115lbs, but that was also 4 kids ago, lol!!!!  so if i can get back down to the low 120s then i'll be good!  :)

am i obsessing about this guys?!?!?!  if you saw the way i eat you would think i would never be able to loose any weight at all!!!!  lol  :)

So far in the 5w since I had the baby, I have lost 24lbs.  I have 13lbs to go until I reach my normal weight.  I haven't been exercising much, but I have a very fast metabolism, plus the breastfeeding, It seems to be dropping off nicely for me!!  For those of you that had a tubal, I thought I heard before that you aren't to do any extensive exercising for the first 6 weeks!

alright darn it...  i've only lost 11lbs so far!!!  :(  i weighed 149lbs before i delivered and today at my appt i weighed 138lbs.  they got a new scale though since the last time i was there so maybe that makes a small deifference.  but i won't think too much about it.  i have my 6 week check up on july 23rd so we'll see what i've got down to by then and then i can start working the rest off!!!!!  :)

I am also looking foward to being able to exersize. The only difference with me is that I had a vaginal birth. I didnt have to have an epesomity but I had a small tear that had to be stiched. I went with my Mom to Target yesterday ( 4days post birth) and my jeans rubbed me the wrong way. I dont know how much I have lost but I do need to weigh myself. I am going to start walking soon but it is too darn hot here where I am.

yea, i got a little case of the blues!  i don't think mine's tubal related though b/c i don't think that part has hit me yet!  i'm just emotional.  didn't you have a section, too?  you shouldn't be walking for exercise yet!  dh and i went to the mall yesterday (10 days post op) and i almost died!  i wasn't really in pain...  but my back was killing me still and the seem of my pants was rubbing right on my incision and i was freaking out!  my back feels like it gets stuck sometimes and it really hurts like all the way up into my shoulders and sometimes my neck too.  but that could also be from poor posture while breastfeeding i guess.
but i am seriuosly waiting for the ok from my doc to start exercising!!!  it helps w/ stress, energy, everything!  when dd was born w/ all her medical things going on i did like 3 workouts a day!  i was a little addicted to it, but it really helped me not freak out about stuff and helped me manage my stress level.
k, gotta go change one of the many poopy diapers in this house...  not done my our newborn!!!  :)
keep me updated on how you're doing...  this forum doesn't get a lot of action anymore so we need to keep it going!!!

oh yes! i also got my tubes tied this time. he is my 4th. i was hesitant but did it. no more babies for me. hey are you in alot of pain from the tubal? i am. i must say i do feel the family is complete. financially. but back to your question, yes i'm starting to feel some blues all of a sudden. maybe tubal related, not sure. i'm not real bad where i feel as if i need to talk to the doc or anything. its whenever i look in the mirror. i've lost 15 lbs. so far. but that was the baby bump. i know i'm talking nuts due to deliverying 5 days ago. lol i keep saying i'm gonna start walking at night, but so tired and don't. no your not the only one hun.
