Just Wondering

Hey Ladies, how ya doing? Just wondering... is there any mommies whos due date is June 27th? Cause I got a late u/s done and I asked if he due date would change..and they said it would be late to determine that because i had gotten a late u/s done. Is that possible, or can the due date still change?  Cause my last period was sept.20th and I guess they went by that. And also when i got the u/s done they said the due date is still the ssame. But then when i asked one of the nurse if it's possible that the due date will change.... thats the answer she gave me.So if ya due June 27th. that means ya last period was sept. 20th right?  By the way I'm 29 weeks today yay! I'm so excited... can't wait to push my lil one out. lmao.

it's okay dont worry about it. I havent even been on much myself. kinda been busy. well i think my due date might be right even tho i did it late. cuz when i did it at 23 weeks i believe the baby was about 1 pound. and if the baby was bigger im pretty sure the due date would've changed right? Bryanarae ur due june 20th and when was ur lmp just out of curiousity? I dont know but io can't stop being so damn concer it's true what they say pregnanct people always worry too much lol.  Cuz so far i have only gotten two u/s done and my 1st one was at 23 weeks and i know thats kinda late dont ya think? and the due date havent changed from when they asked me when was my lmp and i told them sept 20th and told me the due date was june 27th and when i got the u/s done they told me the due date didnt change. thats why im concer and think that they just went by my lmp because i did my first u/s late. could that be possible? Well next me i have an appt for my check up and dont know when my other u/s is gonna be so i guess i'll ask next week. I know Mapes u must really be excited awww i would to. But lets just see it this way soon we'll have out lil one with us. just a couple of more weeks. Yay! can't wait. well kust keep us up dated on how things went and I'll be back on soon. Everyone take care!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while.  My first u/s was done at 6 weeks 3 days I think.  I have had several due to past complications, and the measurements have been pretty consistent with the due date.  When they first started measuring fundal height, it was normal.  Since then it has jumped.  I seriously doubt it is a big concern because my dr is very proactive and he doesn't seem concerned.  Thanks for your input.  Now I am 30 weeks and anxious to do an ultrasound next week.

My due date is June 20. I went for my first u/s and I was dated at 8w4d. My conception date was said to be Sept.20/08. So if that sheds any insight for ya... just thought I'd share. :)

Hey nrschofbaby.... thanks for the info. that gives me a better understandin of what i've been wanting to know. Cuz the day i went to my appt my doctor wasnt there so i had to see someone else. so i didn't wanna ask if it wasn't my doctor. therefore i had asked a nurse and she told me that the due date most likely wont change cuz i got an u/s done late. which i thought was kinda weird cuz i thought they would cuz now is when they really start seeing the baby grow.  yeah that's what i've heard from other people that if they baby is developing too fast the due date will and can change. but Next week i have an appointment so i guess i'll ask him just to see what he'll tell me.  But what you've told me so far makes alot of sense. Maybe i need to go to ur doctor. lmao well hun i'll will keep up dated and u do the same. Take care of ur self and ur unborn.

According to my dr, an ultrasound (when done later on in pregnancy) is actually more accurate than a measurement for fundal height. For example, I'm measuring a little smaller on fundal height (my stomach is barely rounding out at 33wks) but the ultrasound shows my daughter is measuring right on. An ultrasound is performed to measure all the baby's extremities and parts of the body and is then compared to the average of all fetuses at that stage. If an ultrasound shows that the baby is more advanced (large for gestational age) and the fundal height supports it as well, they may move your due date up a bit. I hope everything goes well at your next appt. Please keep us updated! Take care :)

Mapes when was ur 1st u/s done? Cause the 1st time i got one done it was at 23 weeks. So I figure that's why my due date havent changed.  They will only change the due date depending on how the baby is developing. Meaning if he/she is growing to fast. That's what everyone is telling me. I wish i would've gotten one sooner cuz by the u/s i would've had a better knowing of the exact due date than what I have now. Even tho some babies do come out based on the lmp but not always. How far along are you hun? Then again I'm still debating if my due date would still be accurate for the simple fact that aug 29th i had gotten my period and lefted around sept 3rd then I had also gotten my period sept 20th and it seemed like a normal period because it was kinda heavy it wasnt light. So Sometimes I wonder could I have gotten pregnant b4 or after the 20th. Cause if it was be then the whole due date would be off. So can anyone help us. Cause I would still like to know what others have to say. Thanks! By the way Mapes hope ev erything goes well next week with the u/s.

I have a similar question.  My lmp was September 15, but now my little one is measuring 4 weeks ahead on fundal height.  I have an ultrasound next week, but I know that late term ultrasounds can be unreliable.  Anyone ever had the dr change a due date based on this?  My son was born 3 weeks early, but I was induced because he was small and unhappy in there :)  I definitely wouldn't mind having this one a little early, but my dr doesn't usually like to intervene unless necessary.

Mine is June 27th but I cant really help ya with the period thing because I went through fertility drugs and they made my cycle much longer so we actually had to go by my ovulation date (when we did the hcg trigger).  I am having a c section on June 17th though.

Thanks for your help, I really appreciate. yeah I guess the only way the would change the due date is if the baby is more developed.  Hey Dark if ur due on july 5th then how u gonna have her june 29th? I guess if i would ve had a u/s done earliar it would ve been more accurate. I guess Imma just have to do what you said nd just go by what the doc said and take it a day at a time. Well ya take care and hope to hear from ya soon.

Hi and welcome to our forum!

The due date they gave you is based off your LMP of Sept 20. Unfortunately this late in the pregnancy an ultrasound is not very effective in dating it or calculating how far along you are because babies grow at different rates at this point. The best time to date a pregnancy using ultrasound is in the first trimester.  My first ultrasound determined that I was 6w6d rather than 9w3d as LMP would suggest. That means I ovulated reallllly late that cycle. So there could be someone else on here that shares that same due date but it doesn't necessarily mean their LMP was Sept 20. The only way they'll change your due date is if your baby is measuring significantly larger or more advanced than s/he should. All you can really do at this point is go by what your dr told you and take it one day at a time. Good luck and I hope you'll stick around June Mommy!

The only time they change a due date in late pregnancy is if the baby is measuring 3 or more weeks ahead than your first due date.  My lmp was sept 28 and I'm due July 5th, but I will have her around june 29th unless she decided to make her appearance before then.
