Any cramping

Has anyone been cramping? Or is it just me? My doctor gave me some pills to take to stop the cramping because he said I was in "preterm" labor, but since they were making me sick he told me to stop taking them. Lately I've been having the cramps come back. Is anyone experiencing those at this stage in their pregnancy? I've heard they are normal, but I've also heard they are a sign of perterm labor. Any suggestions?

I get menstrual type cramps....the pain is not as bad as my right ribs and back....good thing I'm not working or else I would be dying ...
Oh yeah my baby boy puts alot of pressure on my bladder as well....

I just started having them here and there i havent got a chance to tell  my dr though i will next week for sure cus the last couple i have had were like OW thats gotta be braxton hicks so i think we re just all getting prepped to have our babies our bodies are changing! I ve had my cervix chk d several times due to history so im sure its fine but my dr said 36 wks is when they start chking to see if there s changes and when im headed into labor! I cant believe they didnt do an exam just said you were in labor and handed you pills thats crazy i d ask for one!

Oh, my doctor didn't do an exam, he just told me he was going to give me pills for "preterm" labor. He did order an ultrasound but that's for tomorrow. I guess I'll just wait to see what he tells me tomorrow!! Thanks for the info. =)

Pre-term labor is defined by changes to the cervix.  I have had contractions daily and frequently since 20 weeks, but no cervical changes.  They are strong enough I have to stop what I am doing and breath through them.  My Dr. did an internal u/s to measure cervical length, which was fine.  Sometimes it feels like serious menstrual cramps and I just want to curl in a ball.
