Diet plans

Ok girls, I know it's a little too soon to think about this, but what are your diet plans after the baby is born? I definitly have to get on a diet as I have gained a lot of weight. When I had my last daughter I got on the "Herbalife" diet and lost all my baby weight plus about 15 extra pounds but I want to consider other diets before getting on that strict "Herbalife" diet. It's hard for me because I am a picky eater, but I want to eat healthy!! Any suggestions?? What are your plans?

this amy sound crazy but a friend of mine, after she gave birth, started a baby food diet. all she ate all day was 20 jars of baby food and she dropped puonds super fast and looks better than she did before she got pregnant. i guess because baby food is super healthy with no additives.

Lol cute. I'll have to google some mommy and baby exercises that won't require me to squash my little girl. After all this enforced activity, I'm a weakling. :)

I like yoga so was thinking I might try to find a good yoga DVD. That might work, at least temporarily.

Haha yea at that time I did research on exercises to do with my baby that was one of them. I tried and it seem to work definitely takes a lot of upper body strength so you don't smash the baby but it was fun and he was just giggling away. Zumba is sooo fun I did dance workouts on the wii and it was fun and I shed a lot of pounds by doing it. I think if people find a way to make exercising fun it's motivation to keep going.

I'd be afraid to do that, I'll probaby lose my strength and smash my poor baby... lol. I use to do dances such as zumba. It was not only fun, but it was a good workout.

I exercised in my house before I had kids I would do about 50 push ups and 50 sit ups before I went to bed and when I got up in the morning. I noticed I got a 4-pac just by doing that. Maybe try some activity in the comfort of your own home, like maybe the wii, and exercise dvd, or something simple like floor exercises with your baby like push ups and kiss her each time you down. I did that with my son and he got a kick out of that.

Yes I'm in Texas. Everybody says it's great I'll deliver before the worst of the heat hits, but trying to shield her from the heat means we'll be inside for at least a couple of months, which is going to drive me crazy. I live in an apartment, and with the baby taking up my extra room, don't have room for a treadmill. There's a gym here but it heats up in the summer even with the air conditioning, so I wouldn't want to take the baby in there, and since I'm becoming a single mom and breastfeeding doubt I'll get that much time to exercise consistently unless I do the mall strategy. Hope she doesn't melt while I'm just trying to get her into the car.

I used to be a gym rat, 2-hour workouts 6 days a week, doubt I'll ever have time to get back up to that level of activity. I'll just do the best I can until it cools off again and we can go out for some baby-friendly exercise. :)

You're in Texas right? Good luck with that heat!! I was there last year for summer and believe me, I was melting!!! I hate Texas heat!! Going to the mall is a good idea. I live far from everything so the closest mall is about an hour away from here. You can also try using a treadmill or doing some kind of dance. I'm the type of person who can't walk on treadmills so I usually do outdoor activities for exercise!! Well everyone, good luck and hope everyone can lose that baby weight!!

lol... It's so hard to get on a diet. I am also thinking about brestfeeding, but only cus I know it'll help with the weight loss!! I brestfed my 18-month-old for about 7-8 months and I think that's what helped me!!! I use to go walking everyday with my mom and we would speed walk for about 3-4 miles each day. My husband wasn't very motivating. He always said he didn't care if I lost weight, but I did care. Well lets see how it goes for us after we pop out these babies!!

I'll be breastfeeding and probably won't diet, just eat healthy. June it's 100 degrees outside here, so thought we'd just go find a mall and try to get some walking in for some activity. When she's a little older I'll hit the gym again. Pretty sure it'll come off with exercise, I've been on a no-exercise rule from my doctor so this is the least activity I've gotten in my life.

Last time after I had my son I dropped 20 pounds right after delivery. I didn't even look like I had a baby. I lost 10 pounds from breastfeeding got me to my pre-pregnancy weight. After the doctor gave me the ok to exercise and I lost about 10 pounds but I wasn't consistent about it and gained it back after I stopped breastfeeding but still maintained my pre-pregnancy weight which was 140.

Hopefully staying motivated to exercising will get me to the weight I wanna be this time. Hopefully getting back to the old high school days lol. My bd is a body sculpting trainer and he said he would help me so hopefully I can count on him. It feels better when you have some workout partners that are motivated to lose weight. I'm also going to eat more healthier this time, still breastfeed, and more dedication to exercise is the plan. I want to get back to 125-130s at least.
