Sleeping options

Hi im 31w1d. I have a 18month boy n having another boy. Well i want to put them both together in a seperate room(our boy sleeps in the same room as me n my hubby) but my family tells me that its too soon to put the baby #2 in a different room when he arrives that he should sleep with us but i feel bad leaving my first boy in the other room by himself. So my question is would it be too soon to leave the newborn on a seperate room along with his brother?

Yeah i think that whats gonna end up happening. I just didnt want to be all crowed but i think my heart is just not gonna let me put him on his own atleast not yet lol. I think when baby #2 is atleast 6months or more ill send them to their room. Wow i mean at this point i think all we want to do is rest n dam it must be a little tiring with your little one. N yeah at end of the day rest is the number one thing on our mind but in reality i dont think it really is that way.

You could switch your oldest to a toddler bed and if you have enough space, you can put the toddler bed in your room. I was considering that with my baby, but I honestly don't know if it'll work. She literally has to feel me when she sleeps or she will wake up screaming (not a good sound when I'm super tired and sleepy).

Thanks for the comment. I also havent had a problem with him sleeping on his crib. But i guess my biggest fear is that i wont hear them. Or just putting my big boy by himself.

I guess it just depends on how you feel. I always slept my newborns in my room, but not on my bed. With my first, I never had problems with her wanting to sleep with me or with her not wanting to sleep on her bed. Now with my 18-month old, that's a different story. She was always good at sleeping in her crib, but now that I changed her to her "big girl" bed in a seperate room she runs to my bed and wants to sleep in my bed with me and my hubby. It's hard because now I'm 32 weeks pregnant and I'm too tired to get up and hear her crying because she wants to sleep with me. Like I said, it depends on how you feel about your newborn sleeping in a seperate room.
