In the uk we are encouraged to do tummy time plus what we call active movement xxxx you ladies have mentioned your babies trying to crawl xxxx if you place your hand against your babies feet and allow baby to push against you they will "crawl" across the floor xxxx this sort of play increases brain development and will help with there fine motor skills later on my lil man has had tummy time since day 1 and is an all round strong boy especially when we compare him to friends babies who spend 90% of their time in a swing bouncer etc xxxx look up active movement on the net x it started in New Zealand xxxx
Omg, my baby does that too!! I think he even tries to roll from his back to his tummy! My mom seen my baby push himself while he was on his tummy and she said those are the ones that are going to walk early. My brother started walking at 7 1/2 months and he was the only one who did that during tummy time!
My baby boy has strong legs...during tummy time he wants to crawl. He gets frustrated and starts crying....lol
At 4 weeks :(
My little guy is 6 weeks old he's been laying on my chest since birth...At 5 weeks he tried to lift his body up when he was laying flat on my bed I kid you not...trying to be superman I guess lol...what am I in for
My daughter does the same when I hold her in a siting position she will hold her head up for a bit and she likes to turn her head sideto side while on her tummy just wanting to see how she's doing on developing
When im holding my girl she holds her head up looking around for sometimes a few mins. On the floor she turns her head to swap sides alot but not so much holding up yet. She is 3 and a bit weeks.
My baby boy is 6 weeks old and I have been laying him on my chest since he was born. I noticed when he was about 2-3 weeks that he tried to lift it. Now if he's a little propped on a pillow he tries to lift his upper back, neck and head. I haven't tried it on the floor, but I will be trying it soon!
