On the odd days my daughter would take a bottle she would only take the playtex nipples. Have you tried those?

There is also a tea, found in vitamin or health store w herbs to promote breastfeeding n help increase milk supply. I'm on day #2 of using it. Its called milkmaid tea. Its not bad. I'm giving anything a shot

I have lumps too, but I only notice them when he's not getting enough. The only thing that comes to mind is a clogged duct! I got that with my daughter and it was so painful. That can be the reason why she's on the breast a lot. When you have a clogged duct that part of the milk is not coming down and she's not getting enough. You have to go to your doctor and get it taken care of b/c it will get to the point where your milk will stop coming in. I know it's painful but you have to massage it hard enough to unclog that part. You can also use warm cloths and rub the lump. When I got that my doctor gave me medication b/c I was not making enough milk. I went from pumping 4 oz to pumping 2 oz and when he gave me the meds my supply went back up. Hope you feel better!!

cch1029; my husband also had tried it but she lke threw it up. Im going to have my mother inlaw try it hopefully it works, she has more patience cuz once she gags i feel bad and jst give her the boob.
VaniDavila; she starts sucking on anything thats near her she also ***** on her fingers its cute but i feel bad.
Another question last night my right boob was hurting (still is) and i told my husband i think i have breast cancer cuz i have a lump on the top of my boob, is it possible to have breast cancer?

I agree, try having someone give it to her. My youngest daughter never took a bottle even if someone else gave it to her. It was difficult because I couldn't go out anywhere without her. She always had to tag along. I also couldn't get her to take a pacifier but she did start sucking on her thumb and she still does :(

My son didn't take formula at first either...but his dad just wiggled the bottle around in his mouth and it worked...maybe if you let someone else try to feed her then maybe it could possibly work...my son barely took a bottle from me at first after a feeding from someone else he started taking bottles but he doesn't do pacifiers neither did my other son. My 5 week old still prefers breast over bottle but he'll take a bottle whenever we are out somewhere.

I do she always wins so i let her stay on. Ive tried givin her formula she gags and when i try giving her a pacifier she also gags and i feel bad so again she wins. How can i get her to take both? Cuz when we go out in public i have to excuse myself from everyone and go to the restroom.

I do the same as Vani...my baby boy is 5 weeks old and he's always hungry like every hour or when I'm about to eat. I give him formula when I'm out in public. I wouldn't worry about her getting enough as your body produces plenty milk the more you nurse.

My baby boy was the same way, but I let him stay on b/c the more they demand, the more milk you produce so if she really wants more milk your body will produce enough for her. Sometimes they can also just have the need to suck so they are using you as a pacifier. I usually let my baby boy stay on as long as I hear him swallow. When I see that he's just sucking without swallowing then I take him off and give him a pacifier. I don't have to give my baby boy any formula, but I do on the days I'm out in public and can't nurse.
