Paining towards left side of abdomen

I am 16 weeks 3 days pregnant and since yesterday I am feeling pain towards my left side of abdomen. It is not continuous but happens when I move or walk or bend down. Can anybody share her experiences and reason if she has been suffering through same pain?

I had the same thing except it was across my entire abdomen. About every 15-20 minutes and lasted for around 20-30 seconds, it hurt so severely it made me cry and squeeze the bathtub for support. I was about 16-17 weeks pregnant at the times. My doctor just told me it was everything stretching to fit the baby. It did clear up for me after a few days though. It was just very painful and scary.

Yep round ligament pain. Def painful. Sharp pains that don't last but come back. Happen often after sudden movements. Just your baby growing and your body trying to accommodate. These ladies had good suggestions that I will try as well.

Sounds like your round ligaments are stretching...can get pretty painful.  I used to take warm showers, baths, or use a hot water bottle which totally helps. So does putting your feet up for a bit.

But if you have a fever, urination problems, diarrhea, bleeding, nausea, or contractions with the pain ever then go to your doctor. That's what I was told.
