3D/4D Ultrasounds...??

Hi ladies! I have never had an 3D/4D ultrasound & I have 4 kids....currently pregnant with the 5th one. I would like to know the pro's and con's of getting 1 done before I schedule an appointment  & pay out of pocket to have 1 done. They look like they could be very interesting and fun to get, but I wouldn't know. Could someone tell me their experience(s)??

Thank you ladies! My doctor's office actually offers it for a reasonable price. For $130 you get an hour session, music playing during the whole session, all pictures put on a disc, you can invite guests for the session, 5 printed photos & you can bring a USB stick to save all of your images on. So I think I will get it done & that you ladies have said nothing,  but good things about it :). My OB told me that it's best to have it done anywhere from 27 wks to 32 wks for the best results. I will be 30 wks in 2 more days. I can't wait to see my princess in 3D!!!

I was lucky that my doctors office does 3ds of the face at 30 weeks.  This way they can see of there are any obvious facial defects.  It was routine.  They did not do the whole body.  They said he will really look like his 3d picture :)

I had one last week (27 wks) and really enjoyed it.  Shopped around for a bit as they can be very expensive.
It was very special to see all those very clear facial features, and saw similarities with ourselves and little niece immediately.  It felt like a sneak preview of what's to come. And made it all very real!
It's definitely not a must do,  but we really enjoyed it!

I highly suggest it! Research the places first. Mine does not use radiation so it's perfectly healthy for the baby. There are many deals also so you can get 2 appointments  (one now and another later) for a good price. They are knowledgeable about walking you through the process and understanding what you're looking at.
