Caesar Salad?

Oops. My husband and I got a rare date night last night and went to Red Lobster and not even thinking about it I had a caesar salad. After I got home I remembered that you aren't supposed to have caesar dressing while pregnant. Should I be worried?

Caesar dressing also has raw fish in it (anchovies I believe it is).  One time may be fine but I definitely wouldn't make it a habit.

It's mainly considered an issue if it has been made fresh as it uses raw egg yolks. If you are buying dressings from the supermarkets then they are pasteurised which is why they last longer. They say a lot of these things as precautions more than something that can cause harm to baby as if you contract salmonella then being seriously ill isn't going to help you or baby but it won't cause your baby damage

With my first, once I had got past or close to the second trimester I decided to have a little bit of everything as the safest place to expose them is in the womb (so my doctor said) so as long as neither myself or my husband had allergies then it was a case of having a little bit of what I fancied. Now he's nearly two and eats everything, has no allergies and is a very healthy and lively little one! His favourite food is muscles (which I had once in a restaurant) and goats cheese (again had on a couple of occasions!) Planning on doing the same with this one, have had one date night since 12 weeks and enjoyed a goats cheese tart!
