Carpal tunnel?

So I've been getting carpal tunnel my whole pregnancy. At first it was just numbness in my fingertips but as my pregnancy has progressed, it's slowly gotten worse. It's now to the point where it's painful and interfering in normal everyday things. I can't turn on a tap, it hurts to open bottles, I find it difficult to get up because I can't put any weight on my hands at all. The pain is shooting all the way up to my elbow now. Should I see a doctor? Has anyone experienced this? What did your doctor recommend?

I think I'm experiencing this as well. And now it feels as though I have a bone spur on on of my wrists. So painful.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I have an appointment with my midwife on Tuesday so I'll mention it to her then and see what she thinks. It's so painful though. Just makes me look forward to the end of this pregnancy even more.

Sorry hun is a normal pregnancy side affect and will probably take about 12 after baby to come right. A brace would be highly recommended. If ur going to the dr anyway mention it but I don't think there is much theycan do other than tell you to get physio to strengthen your wrists.  I hope it doesn't get any worse for you.

I know what you feel i have it myself since 28wks and i am 33wks now and its super bad where my dr put me on pain medication and ordered me two wrist bands to help keep your wrists straight so the blood flow can get to your hands easier. I also do hand stretches and ice them because even tho you can tell their swollen they are in the inside and thats whats blocking the blood flow. But other then that drs cant do much to help but it will go away within 24hrs after delivery

See as above post try the brace if that dosnt work create your self an arm sling so it tucks up against your arm it's not comfy at all but that's what I have to do when it gets real bad. Also make mention to your doc as well I was told if mine gets real bad they can give you a shot in your hand to help it as well.
