Also didn't have X-rays done at all and I was 18 wks for extraction, 20 wks first filling and 23 wks for second filling
I've had two fillings (same tooth, first filling was only temporary although her reasoning for filling and not extracting was because I was pregnant yet the filling only last 20 days and was only ever meant to be extremely temporary) and I have also had an extraction (different tooth different dentist)
I went to the dentist yesterday and found out I have a couple of caries and they said best to repair them after delivery because it's not good to apply unnecessary anesthetic during pregnancy, plus they'll want to do some xrays to see the depth of the caries, and that's also best avoided during pregnancy... So I'll wait till after baby is here :)
The don't like to do it if you're in your first or third trimester.
It's perfectly fine. I have been in the dental field for a while now. As long as you aren't high risk, you will be fine. The only thing you might want to avoid or hold off until after baby is oral surgery and x-rays.
