****I heard that insurance is required to provide a free breast pump in the USA.
New law being passed or something like that. Check it out. I already talked to my ob about it and they confirmed that my insurance pays for it. I have to pick it up when I get out of the hospital :) its a medela brand double pump
thank you everyone your tips and advice!!! im back at work after 6 weeks so double electric is my buy ;) thank you x
Thanks for posting this question now I don't have to ask the same one. Also thanks for everyones advice and expertize
Thanks ladies!! Helps much in making my decision!! Yay!!
Double..that way you can express the most and your other breast won't "let down" while pumping the first. I had an electric double pump but it had a manual feature as well that was singular.
I breastfed and stayed home the first year and found a single electric to be just fine. I pumped and stored in the freezer as back up. If you are going back to work a double electric will save your sanity and a lot of time. The manual ones can give you hand cramps if you need to use them a lot.
Double electric. I LOVE my Medela electric pump. I have a hands free wrap too... You can attach the pump cup to the wrap and pump both breasts at the same time. Completely pump in 20 mins. I can pump and do my makeup in the am, etc, your completely hands free. The Medela pumps are pricey but worth every penny. Keep an eye out at Babies-R-Us, Target or a website I always order from called Albee Baby they go on sale sometimes.
I think it depends on your use. I breastfeed my first and pumped and stored in the freezer to bottle feed. (She never ending up taking a bottle at all) i only had a single manual and it worked just fine for my limited use. Plan to do the same with this baby.
I loved my double electric with my first. Planning on using it with this one too. I've used single and manuals and it just takes too long.
Double electric seems to have the highest ratings and speaking to tons of my gf they highly recommend double electric
ooooo. im curious to know the answers to this as well! also - manual or electric???
