Failed induction

At 39 weeks my doctor decided to induce me because my body wasn't progressing as it should. I went into the hospital Sunday June 21st at 8pm to get a cirvidil, and I was supposed to start potocin first thing Monday morning. My cervix wouldn't dilate, so they gave me a second cirvidil. I still didn't dilate.. So they sent me home. I've been so emotional. I didn't expect it to be this hard, but I went into the hospital expecting to leave with a baby in my arms.. And instead she's still in my belly. I know im lucky to have her at all because I've experienced a miscarriage before.. But I just want to meet her and hold her.

I couldnt imagine going through that for 2 days!! That had to be miserablr and so emotional for you.  They never got my water to break or put me on potocin so they decided to send me home. It was a horrible experience. And my body still isn't dilating so they want me to go back again this Sunday and try the same exact thing over again.. If they can't get it to work then, then I will probably have a c section - but they haven't even told me for sure I'll have my baby this coming Monday.

They sent u home! I wasnt sent home and i wasnt dialating either but my water did break on its own. They had to use the cervidil and some balloon thing. They had me on pitocin for two days straight! Baby wouldnt drop and i was then. Dialated to a 4 but my body wouldnt dialate anymore. It was so frustrating. FINALLY they said c section needa to happen. Turns out....if i would have just dialated more i could have had him vaginally
