Finally in labour :)

Woohoo. Sooooo excited. I am finally in labour. I am 39 + 2 weeks. I woke up at 4:45am this morning with extreme back pain and abdominal cramping. I started timing my contractions an hour later and they were very irregular. They started coming in between 2 and 3 mins and weren't lasting very long. I went upto the hospital at 8:30am to get checked over and I was 2cm dilated. My midwife confirmed I was in labour so did a sweep to really get my labour moving. I've been home for an hour and a half now and contractions are getting stronger and more difficult to breath through. Midwife reckons baby will be here later tonight if not early hours. I hope I can cope with this pain. Wish me luck x
