I'm 33 weeks, ftm so, I totally understand. But... one thing that helped me? Last year I was there for the birth of my friends baby. She had to be put under for her c section due to back issues. The daddy asked if u wanted to come watch the first bath, etc. The way the nurses handle the babies (very sage and caring, but at the same time flipping them around and getting them dressed quickly so they're not cold)- that's what made me realize they were tougher than I thought. Just use common sense. Babies can tell when you are stressed so just try to be calm!
I took a newborn care and calm class, which was very informative. I think my worry will ease after I feed and change my own the first couple of times.
It'll come so naturally, but if you'd rather have some reassurance it's not to late to take a class in newborn care!
I'm terrified of changing his clothes and feedings (too much, too little). Diapers im ok with. If I'm slow and get tinkled on I deserve it. I'll learn. I helped care for all my nieces/ nephews. It's different when its your own. No giving back. lol
I truly believe we will be good moms because we are concerned and care.
I think u r going to be a great mum. A mum who has concerns she is doing/going to do a good job is a great mum. :-) things probably won't go as u have planed but thats nothing to stress about. Babys aren't easy to dress in the beginning it does get easier take ur time and learn together you won't break ur baby . :-)
Babies are made to survive us new parents. you will be totally fine.
It will come to you like 2nd nature! You would never hurt your baby. You will adapt. It is a different world but its one you would wont want to trade :)
