If you're wanting to avoid an intervention I would recommend being clear in your bir th plan that strictly only for an emergency ... also having a doula , and/or midwife in addition to the Dr at the hospital will greatly lessen the chances of cesarean. Also you need to be clear you do not want your membranes ruptures, a non natural induction, and no epidural. Having these procedures done increase the chances of cesarean. I am a huge proponent of acupuncture throughout pregnancy and especially for an acupuncture induction. It's a great way to relieve pain, stress, help balance blood sugar, and can make your labor stronger and happen on time. With for a big baby sooner is better than later (given not pre term) .
I had a natural birth my first pregnancy it went well with an epidural bt then.i lost 3litres blood and had 3 blood transfusions and an evacuatiom of placenta, however im now 29 weeks with an.ingunal hernia on my groin and have been advised a plamned c-section i am utterly terrified of it but as everyone says my body will be in charge so im jst thankful i wont have that heamorage again(well i hope not) hope all goes well for u ul be jist fine xx
I'm preparing for csection #3... I still get nervous. Just pay attention to your body. Your not less of a women/mother if you give birth via a csection. On Pinterest there are some great blogs/articles about a "gentle csection". I'm healthy & I have 2 healthy children. Best advice get up & walk ASAP. Start slow but you'll heal faster & have less pain (sound odd but true). Maybe to honor your mom, have a picture of her next to you, on iPod next to your ear play her favorite song during your C. I know its not the same but the health of your baby & you is most important. Talk to the hospital see how soon you can have visitors. My in laws & son came in to meet baby (see me), while I was in recovery, they went home after it was late at night. They were back the next am. Many blessings your way.
My sister was almost 10lbs when she was born and she was delivered vaginally.
Big baby doesnt mean you can't deliver naturally. It all depends on the position you take while delivering squating or bwing on all fours opens tour pelvis up. The only reason doctors make women get on their backs is because its more beneficial to them during the delivery. Maybe you should discuss delivery positions with your doc. My midwife has already oked any position of comfort for me!
Dont be worried about the c section, im about to have my 2nd this pregnancy. Everyone is different so your pain tolerance as well as your recovery time is all up to you. With my first c section i was up and moving the day after my surgery, i discharged from the hospital after only a 2 day stay and when i got home i was able to tolerate my pain by taking Advil because i didnt like the fact that the meds prescribed made me drowsy. I would say the ONLY thing im dreading this time around, is when the nurse massages your uterus after the surgery. I believe that was the ABSOLUTE WORST part. Good luck to you ultimately healthy baby and safety for you both is important. How many weeks are you i have GD too and have been monitoring babies weight gain
I'm with you. I'm really hoping I don't have to get a csection. Just the thought of being cut open really doesn't sit right with me. I'm hoping there's no complications. But I'll go through with it if it's the only way. Just want my little one to get here safely.
