That is why I also packed seperate bags. Luckily there is only 38 days left.
My stuff is packed according to the list given to us by the hospital.
My hubby will be bringing the carseat with him when we are discharged.
I have one bag for me with my hygiene products, clothes, ipod and camera. I have a bag for baby, inside is a few outfits, his diaper stuff and hygiene products. I packed a little extra because I'm allergic to some regular soaps and lotions so we have everything we need. Lastly, I put an extra bag into the diaper bag because then if the hospital has stuff for me to take home or if my family brings the little one gifts I don't have to worry. My bags are separated just to make life easier. One big bag or suitcase might not fit into the tiny hospital closet, and I don't mind nurses helping with baby items but I don't want them rummaging through my personal items.
Why pack multiple bags? Wouldn't it be much easier to bring a big enough bag? Seems like it would be too much to have my bag plus 2 extra, plus baby with car seat and the things the hospital will give once discharged.
I packed a bag for me and one for baby, but I also have the diaper bag packed. My bags aren't that big.
Thanks for the tip regarding hubby. I will pack his things tonight.
