Its a boy! I was able to find out sex at11 weeks!

Anyone else get the blood test to find out the sex this early.  We're happy to know we're having another boy.  We also have a 3 year old boy.  However it makes the remainder of the pregnancy seem like an eternity.  Next big thing won't be until 28 weeks for the 3D ultra sound.  Eeek..it's going to be a long haul.

The year I took was called Panorama Test. It's non-invasive and tests for the Trisomies abnormalities, triploidy, and the sex of the baby. I'm still waiting on results but can't wait!

I'm having that today but does it only say if it's a boy?? im 10 wks but measuring 10w 4d I'm super excited

I got the harmony test at ten wks and just found out we are having a boy at 11 wks!  It tests for the trisomy abnormalities and also the sex.

No. That is only for down syndrome and a small selection of other issues. The nunchal blood test only looks at protein markers it is not a DNA test. You need a DNA test to figure out the baby s sex with blood work or amniotic fluid sample.

I thought it was the nuchal translucency or something like that.

Its the maternal free cell DNA test or NIPT (non invasive prenatal test). I had it done coz I am over 35 and I should get my results in a week! So excited : ) I hope the lil one is healthy.

Thanks!  Gosh I can't think of the name of the test but it's to test abnormalities etc.  If you want you can also find put the gender at the same time.  It's a fairly new test..about 4 years old.

What is that test called? I thought you could only find the gender out at 20 weeks.

I'm 11 weeks and 5 days and just did the blood work to find out sex of our baby yesterday! I'm so excited to find out!

Congrats. I am thinking of asking my Doctor about that test when I do next Tuesday
