Mommies with eczema

hey everyone (: I'm just under 14 weeks with my first and this winter pregnancy has already taken its toll! I have had the absolute WORST eczema you can imagine. I am not exaggerating at all when I say my entire body is covered in scabby patches of this horrible ailment. My younger brother always had it bad in the winter but I was always blessed with near flawless skin. This little one sure has thrown me for a loop! Do any of you suffer from eczema regularly or has any of you had a similar reaction? I've tried every department store and pharmacy remedy and I can't seem to find relief! If anything it has gotten worse! I have been using Aveeno brand oatmeal bath and eczema cream, I've tried baby oil baths with Shea and cocoa butter, I have tried maybe 9 different intense moisturizing lotions! Nothing helps! I've been surviving for weeks on 2 hour naps because I wake up itching like crazy! To anyone suffering like me, my heart goes out to you! <3

I have psoriasis and since my pregnancy, my hormones have actually improved my skin! Psoriasis and eczema and really similar, and when my disease is flaring up, I put aloe lotion on twice a day and I see improvement after a few days.

Thanks everyone! My OB has shown no interest or concern for it and just keeps telling me to use Benadryl to help with the itching even though it doesn't do anything. I've definitely made some improvements in the last 2 weeks but I have a few "hot spots" that itch and scab really bad. I'll have to put these suggestions on the list for my next grocery trip!  I was treated for scabies when it first appeared but the rash matches up closer to eczema more than any other skin issue. If the itching would go away I could deal with my other pregnancy symptoms so much better! I'd rather have my morning sickness back than deal with this LOL.

Are you sure it's eczema? The only reason I ask is because I have a rash as well that the doctor said may be eczema or may be fungal based. She recommended two different creams, but said if it is fungal-base, the eczema cream will make it worse.  I know eczema s really common in pregnancy so it is likely the doctor would know it when they see it, but rashes seem to be misdiagnosed a lot.

Have you tried coconut oil? Works really well on my son's eczema and cheaper than a lot of creams too

Oh my yes! Use humidifiers around the house to put moisture back into the air. Also a friend of mine gave me a lotion from Avon to try that's made for it. I was about to scratch my skin off, I've used it a ccouple times abd am not really scratching much, It's like $10
