Mother's Milk Tea

I'm going to ask my doctor before drinking it, but I was wondering if anyone has drank mothers milk tea while pregnant? I'm 35w5d  and I want to breastfeed. My biggest fear is not being able to or not making enough milk. I wanted to know if it's safe while pregnant. Thanks in advance! (:

U should not drink that tea while prego. U may/may not start producing milk early. It is fine if U don't. My last 2 babies I never got milk before having them. I nursed my 1st for 2yrs & my 2nd until 14 months (when I got prego w baby 3). The trick to nursing is really getting the baby to latch right & being consistent w it. Do not introduce a bottle to the baby for as long as possible unless Ur going to primarily be pumping. I also have to have csections & was still able to successfully nurse. When U have the baby there is a lactation nurse at hospitals talk to her for advice. Also u can take a breast feeding class to help U learn techniques on getting baby to latch.

That tea could put you in preterm labor, so wait until after the baby is born. :-)

It won't matter until your milk come in which is about 3-4 days after you give birth that is if you nurse/pump every 2 hours. It will help to drink mothers milk tea. You never know, I always made way too much milk which was my problem so I stayed away from the tea.

Just work on getting a good latch. A good latch, from what I understand, is the key to breastfeeding. If you're having trouble see if you van get a lactation consultant to work with you! That's why they're there! :) good luck!

And you can make or have someone make lactation cookies. They are full of ingredients that help boost milk supply. There are many different recipes on google, just find one that sounds good to you!

I honestly wouldn't worry about not having enough milk. Your body won't really produce any until baby arrives anyway and very very few women are unable to produce enough. Baby's stomach is very small at first and they don't need a full 4 Oz at
