I was about 11 weeks - I'm a nurse and there was a confirmed case of a pretty serious infectious disease on my unit so I told my supervisor she was going to need to change my assignment until the risk was gone because I'm at higher risk than the other nurses I work with. They handled it well. The union I belong to wouldn't have it any other way.

He already figured I just confirmed it was really easy seeing that I wasn't going to do anything to hurt my baby

I was hospitalized for unrelated reasons at 5 weeks and someone said "what are you pregnant" and it caught me off guard and i am a horrible lier.  She is supportive!  I would have had to tell her shortly after anyways since i had a million doctors appointments and ultrasounds.  I am a law clerk who works for 1 lawyer so she will have to hire someone for a year to take my place which i assume is stressful.  I am lucky to have such a great boss!

I just pulled him to the side and said now that I'm out the risky period I wanted him to be the first to know that I was expecting due to June...he just responded congrats! The rest is HRs issue.

My boss knew almost immediately. But I sit in a call center, and when I was muting my phone and puking in my trash can, it was obvious I either had the flu or was pregnant! So I was unable to hide it until my second trimester. She was supportive though - which I am happy about since I found out I was pregnant one week after starting my new job.

Im 17 weeks and told them today. I told them  by asking "what is the maternity leave policy?" I work on the ambulance so of course I can't  work  up until 9months. My boss was surprised that I was sew far and she didn't know lol
