We're not finding out...did my anatomy scan 3 weeks ago...if you let the tech know you don't want to find out they are very good at respecting your wishes. My tech said she knew and we watched the whole time and not once did I see anything...so just know, they are good at what they do!
We had our big ultrasound last week and didn't find out. The woman performing the scan had us look away when she was looking in that area, she told us to close our eyes when she had to take pictures, she offered to tell us if we changed our minds and wanted to call back later. She was very professional and had obviously encountered this many times before, she even talked before starting the scan about what she would call baby, she said she'd call baby "he" so she didn't say "it" but since she hadn't started looking yet the use of "he" didn't mean anything. Baby was pretty uncooperative and stayed face down most of the time so that made it easier. But honestly unless you've gone to school for it or closely examined lots of ultrasound pics for other reasons, it's usually pretty hard to tell what you're looking at.
I found out with both at 20 weeks and the tech had to show me exactly what i was looking at! I wouldn't have been able to tell if she wasnt pointing it out.
i just had my anatomy scan on friday. we're not finding out either! i told every nurse or doctor that came into the room that we didn't want to know. we closed our eyes when she turned the screen on to make sure baby wasn't flashing us. lol. once the technician got close to the genitals, she told us to look away. we did. they didn't leave a record of baby's gender on our chart and it's not noticeable in any of the pictures we got! complete surprise for everyone involved now! :)
We are not finding out either. I would like to but my husband doesn't want to. I gave in and said I would wait. this is our first and I would loooove to know! we have our anatomy ultrasound tomorrow morning! 20 weeks tomorrow! whoohooooo!
