I had placenta previa, but it was not caught until it sent me into preterm labor at 29 weeks causing me to deliver my son 11 weeks premature.
Placenta is anterior and baby's head is down.. my original due date was June 6 and they have not set the date for the c-section but said that I am looking at around May 26. in the beginning of my pregnancy I was told there were dots in the placenta which was due to bleeding however I haven't had any other complications other than having anemia. I hope we finish our pregnancies as best we can.
@happiMom87, is your baby head down? Did your doctor tell you whether your placenta is anterior or posterior? When will they schedule your surgery?
My placenta is anterior and baby is transverse - worst combo with major risk of hemorrhage. I'm also worried about placenta accreta - I didn't have any prior c-section, but I had D&C right before IVF/FET which a recent Harvard study showed to be linked to 3 times increased risk for placenta accreta. Most OB/MFMs are unaware of the link between FET and placenta accreta. My ultrasound also shows placenta lakes which are often linked to accreta in previa cases. Nothing else is noted on the ultrasound report, but I'm afraid if that's because my doctor didn't look at it close enough.
So glad to find someone in the same shoes. It's crazy to be living everyday feeling like I am a walking bomb. Hope we both will have a smooth journey till delivery time.
Hi I was diagnosed with placenta previa at 22 weeks but at my 29th week my doctor told me I didn't have it anymore because the baby got bigger...good luck..I feel your pain...
Right here... I'm 32 weeks no movement either. Csection most likely.. I get back/hip pain if I'm in the same position for a while. Not fun but baby will be here soon enough and it will all be worth it.
