Robitussin for cough ...DM or CF??

I bought CF but my doc had told me to get DM ...i called him and his nurse said he wasnt in but i should be fine just not to take a lot ...have any of you taken cf ? If so is it still ok? Im FREAKING OUT!!

I have a cold, I had to Google guaifenisen and it told me that there were birth defects reported but no clear link to the drug. I decided not to take the risk and just went with acetaminophen and diphidramine separately because even dextromethorphan and phenylephrine (dayquil) is not safe at all. So hard when you're pregnant when you don't know for sure what will affect the baby
