Your doctor should do a vaginal and analysis swap to test for GPS. For me it was done at my 36 weeks appointment
How did they detect this? Was it in the routine urine sample tests?
Take high doses of probiotics, there's a lot of research going on right now about it helping clear GBS.
Group B strep is normal. Every woman gets it on and off in their life it's just a matter that you're so close to delivery that it's a concern. Since you're positive they will give you an IV antibiotic when your labor starts to prevent passing it to your baby. There's nothing to stress about there. About a third of women in labor are treated for gbs. As for water breaking, there's no way you won't notice that.
