I am 8 weeks pregnant and I usually get the flu shot every year. But with my history of miscarriages I am scared to do anything. What would u recommend?? Any others have experience with this??

I agree with you barefoot and Sara that's what I was thinking just BC I'm so high risk but then again I'm also worried that if I get the flu BC I didn't get the shot that could hurt my baby too. I'll ask my ob at my next appt. I know everyone has their own opinion and I go both ways so I'm stuck.

No on flu shot!!! Have you read the ingredients?  Its poison, very bad for you especially developing fetus. Take 10,000 ius of vitamin D, eat organic fruits veggies, take vitamins, exercise, and work on limiting stress. That will do far more for you immunity than a toxic flu shot

I personally do not believe in the flu shot.  I believe in eating healthy, and lots of vitamin c.. also lots of sleep!  Do what makes you more comfortable. They can't make you get the flu shot! I was offered when I was 8 weeks and did not get it. I also have not got jt but 1 about 4 years ago.  Washing hands, healthy choices, obvious things, and I don't work in the health field, so again your choice, but I do not think it is helpful for me or baby to get a flu shot.

I got mine last week at 8 weeks 1 day because the doc recommended it as being very important to have at this time.

My ob pretty much insisted I get the flu shot because I teach elementary school. I usually get it anyway but she made it seem like it was even more important now.

I just had my drs appointment the other day and asked about it. My ob said we'd talk about it after the first trimester, but suggested I not get it before then. I'd ask your ob to see what they suggest.

I'm a nurse so my job requires that we get it, pregnant or not!I am 8 wks 3days.  I asked my doctor and she said it is especially important for pregnant women to get it because our immunity is already weaker than usual. I had mine last week, so far no problems :)

Good point I do agree with you. I've just had ppl tell me that the flu shot is so dangerous and I def should not get it being pregnant. I mean I know everyone has their opinions which is fine but I'm just curious what others think about it BC I personally don't see anything bad about getting it. But my sister has scared me so I'm re thinking. Idk just confused :/

I personally think it's a good idea to get your immunity (and your baby's )up BEFORE getting sick. Getting sick would just weaken you and take away your baby growing energy into fighting off a cold.
