anatomy ultrasound

Hi ladies I am 23 weeks pregnant, having a GIRL and due date is June 1. I went for my anatomy ultrasound and they were able to see everything but couldn't get a good view of the head and so they scheduled another one I had yesterday and the baby was still in a position nestled down near my pelvis so the ultrasound tech still couldn't get it. They are sending me to a specialist. They said they didn't see anything abnormal but they want to make sure they didn't miss anything and get a better view/measurement of the back of the head. Should I be concerned at all?

I'm due June 1st with a girl too :) when we went for our scan she was very very low and they couldn't see her head, I had to get up and and get a drink then the sonographer had to seriously poke her to get her to move. I wouldn't worry it just sounds like your little girl has found a very comfortable position and she's a stubborn little thing. :)

You shouldn't worry, sth similar happened to me and had to do it twice. The column was casting a shadow over the heart that wouldn't let them see it 100% clear, so I had to go the following day. Baby was in a different position, and they simply checked that everything that seemed OK, really was OK. I think they are just being thorough, and that's a reassurance for us mommies to be! Good luck! :)

They may just need to send you there so they can get the mesurments to make sure everything is okay since it is head down.. I wouldn't worry if they said everything is fine they just want to double check . Good luck and let us know

i understand the anxiety...but if they tell you that they didnt see anything abdnormal, then that would be a reassurance to you.
